ABOUT DOMINICK E. DEFILIPPO, JR. ESQUIRE

Dominick E. DeFilippo, Jr. Esquire was admitted to the bar in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey in 1996. Mr. DeFilippo practiced both in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in the early part of his career before settling down in Hudson County, where he established his law firm more than 20 years ago. Mr. DeFilippo continues to reside in Hudson County with his wife and children as he strives to serve the community and client base that he has worked vigorously to build.

Upon graduating from High School in Old Bridge, New Jersey, Mr. DeFilippo enlisted in the United States military, initially full-time, and later in the United States Army Reserve and New Jersey Army National Guard. In total, he served 17 years in the active Army, Army Reserve and New Jersey Army National Guard. Mr. DeFilippo began his military career as an enlisted soldier, eventually became an officer, and ultimately achieved the rank of captain before the demands of his civillian career as an attorney ended his military service. Mr. DeFilippo initially served overseas, including 18 months in Panama, and ended his career by commanding a New Jersey Army National Guard Infantry Unit in Burlington, New Jersey.

While serving in the military, Mr. DeFilippo underwent an array of military leadership development training/courses, including: U.S. States Army Basic Training, Advanced Infantry Training, Jungle Operations Training Center course, Officer Candidate School, Infantry Officer Basic Course, Master Fitness Trainer Course, Infantry Mortar Platoon Leader Course, and U.S. Army Ranger School.

A graduate of Rutgers University and Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey, Mr. DeFilippo has focused his practice on civil and criminal trial work, including various person injury matters, criminal defense, immigration law, and DWI/DUI matters involving valid defenses. Mr. DeFilippo’s law practice is founded upon the belief that hard work and dedication will achieve a result most favorable for his clients, whether it is a negotiated settlement, plea, or a jury verdict. Mr. DeFilippo aggressively advocates for his clients using both his experience and his attention to details to produce favorable outcomes.
